Andrew Mendonsa (He/Him)

PsyD, Clinical Psychologist

Bio

Hello! I'm Dr. Andrew Mendonsa, a clinical and forensic psychologist with over 20 years
of experience supporting individuals in embracing their authentic selves and navigating
life’s complexities. I am licensed in over a dozen states and provide services to clients
across the United States, offering both therapy and specialized psychological
assessments. My practice includes neurodivergent individuals, older teens, adults, and
seniors, and I am particularly experienced in working with LGBTQIA+ clients, those
navigating problematic sexual behaviors, and individuals seeking a male therapist's
perspective.

I am deeply passionate about affirming and supporting neurodivergent clients, including
those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and other forms of cognitive and sensory
differences. My work is grounded in a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming
approach. Whether you're seeking therapy or a comprehensive psychological
evaluation, I tailor the process to honor your lived experience and identity.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a wide range of settings—from community mental
health and correctional systems to executive leadership, high-net-worth client services,
and forensic legal contexts. These experiences allow me to bring empathy, insight, and
strategic thinking to the therapeutic process, especially for men facing unique pressures
around shame, vulnerability, or identity.

As an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore
your identity, sexuality, and relationships—whether you’re questioning, coming out, or
navigating diverse communities, including kink, alt-pop, and straight worlds. My goal is
to help you feel empowered, connected, and confident.
